Out of state truckers beware: Out of Cleveland Ohio on my way to drop off a load in Frederick Md. Stopped at the Pilot Truck Stop on Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown Md to fill up with fuel. I noticed a puddle of antifreeze while fueling. Luckily there was a Mack/Volvo truck dealership right next door. Concerned, I drove my Kenworth through the entrance of the Mack dealership. As I went around the building trying to find a place to park my rig (it was like driving into a prison with all the signage) this older black haired man in a blue shirt came flying out of the man door yelling and flapping his arms. He jumped right in front of my rig screaming like a wild man YOU CANT PARK HERE! YOU CANT PARK HERE! So I explained that I was having issues with my rig and could they help me out. He pointed to the front door and said rudely go talk to service. When I finally parked and went in side I noticed a woman at the reception desk on the right behind glass sitting at a desk. So I walked up to her for directions. Only problem was I stood there and stood there and stood there. She was too busy texting on her cell phone and eating something from a container on her desk. She did look up once made eye contact with me but then got up out of her chair to go file things. Talk about rude. In the mean time a woman came out of the restroom close by so I asked her for directions to the service dept. She said she was the service manager so I began to tell her about my Kenworth issues. She said I would have to talk to the service advisor and he would have to schedule me in but because they were so busy she didn't think they could look at it today. It was 9 am. (well, she didn't look to busy when I left because she was just standing there eating food out of the same container on the receptionists desk and staring out the front windows she looked like a real busy body). Finally found the service writers office. Told this guy named Nick that the Service Manager sent me back here to discuss the issues I was having with my Kenworth and I mentioned that I was from out of town and had a load to drop off in Frederick Md by 2pm today. He laughed and said good luck with that. I was so disgusted with there customer service I went back out to my truck and searched google for truck repair shops in the area and found one 4 miles away. Well I'm glad I left that Mack dealership. Freightliner in Hagerstown not only took care of me they had me in and out of there in under 3 hours with a new radiator and back on the road. So Baltimore Mack Service dept.., you lost out on the sale of a new radiator and labor costs for repairs. To Management and the employees at Baltimore Mack in Hagerstown Md, this customer and his $$$$ left because of your poor customer service. For an upscale truck repair dealership you did not make me feel welcome. Your parking lot is not trucker friendly for a 53 foot trailer and cab. You should be welcoming trucks rather than making them feel like a bother. I will purposely drive by your place if I need service in the future and I will communicate this experience to other truckers who are traveling through Hagerstown looking for help with repairs for their rigs.
