Founded in 1948, Pridgeon & Clay is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of stamped and fine blanked components in the United States. It serves the automotive industry and employs a staff of more than 950 personnel. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., the company maintains manufacturing plant, research and development, distribution and training facilities. Pridgeon & Clay has over 70 presses and provides a range of services, including resistance welding, tapping, grinding, machining, studding and hand assembly. Its presses stamp parts up to 16mm thick with a speed of up to 48 stamps per minute. The company uses element analysis and die simulation processes to shorten product development time. Pridgeon & Clay maintains a facility in Franklin, Ind.
