Dr. Zaki Anwar is the Medical Director of Chicago Stem Cell Therapy, working with Nurse Practitioner Alex Acevedo and Physician Assistant Brittany Jones. Dr. Anwar is a world renowned Pain Management Physician who has incorporated regenerative injection therapies into his traditional pain management practice and dedicated himself to research and development of stem cell therapy. Dr. Anwar has participated in numerous triathlons and is an Iron Man himself. Through various injuries he has come to understand what it's like walking in his patients' shoes, and draws inspiration from his son and daughter, who have both begun training and enjoy sports as a family. No matter the site or source of your pain, we are dedicated to helping you live a more normal productive life with onsite procedures in our fully functional operating room. Many insurances are accepted, as well as workers comp or personal injury cases. Dr. Zaki Anwar obtained in depth training in interventional pain procedures and bio regenerative injection techniques such as autologous stem cell therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. He is the Medical Director of Pain Management institute the Center for Pain Management and Research. Dr. Zaki Anwar is a master instructor for the minimum invasive spine therapies with 12 years’ experience teaching fellow physicians how to perform interventional spine procedures. He completed his anesthesiology residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago and also completed his fellowship in pain management from University of Vanderbilt, Nashville Tennessee. He is a member of the American society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), North American spine society (NASS), American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM), World Institute of Pain (WIP), and American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians (AASCP).

Very educated and very caring
Dr. Anwar always goes over a treatment plan with you. On follow up visits he assesses how the plan is working, and adjusts the plan accordingly.
Dr. Anwar always takes time to listen to my concerns and to talk through options. When I have had increased pain, he has always been able to get me in for injections the next week. He offers many options for pain management that do not include opiates. I suffered on opiates for years and he was the first Doctor to offer me something new without opiates.

I have run 9 marathons and have periodic knee issues as I had a torn meniscus back in 2012 and some arthritis. Dr. Anwar has kept me going as I continue to run 45-50 miles a week and currently training for another marathon. I also had bad tennis elbow a couple years back that was bothering me for more than 6 months until I got a couple PRP shots and have not had a problem since. Its been great. I highly recommend Dr. Anwar if you have any pain issues.

I have been with Dr.Anwar for over 10+ years...I travel about 90+ miles to see him. He and his staff are professional, efficient, knowledgable yet warm and caring. I have tried to find a closer pain specialist but I am usually questioned why I really want another Dr. or they have no desire to deal with the medication I am on. Dr. combines meds, procedures, and various other techniques to help achieve a life worth living when you desperately want to give up...They are Gods just GREAT human beings.
had back surgery in 2015 2 bars 5 screws lower back . was told i will never be able to keep doing what i do for a living conductor for the railroad 27 years . DR. Anwar work with me after my surgery got me almost completely off pain meds
shoulder hurting after two surgery not able to move .Dr.has the shoulder moving with just some pain.

I have been doing prp injections with Dr.Anwar for a year now and have had great results. Prior to my prp injections I have had several shoulder surgerys and still continued with extreme stiffness in the shoulders. The PRP injections stopped all the stiffness in the shoulders and I now have full mobility inboth shoulders. I would highly recommend Dr. Anwar for any joint issues.f

The doc and I work pretty well together. He's always serious about making me as comfortable with my pain as possible. He's always willing to offer or look into new procedures or options to help me deal with everything that I've got going on. And I have quite a bit going on.
He's also a pretty nice guy.
