I had an unfortunate experience with Texas State Optical today. I recommend that you find a different eye care provider, as I will be doing. I originally scheduled to have a routine eye exam. I told them that I currently have a case of pink eye. They said that was not a problem and that they could see me. Upon arrival, I again explained that I have pink eye and asked if that was a problem. Of course, they said it wasn't. However, once Dr. Rogers saw me, she said that she couldn't complete my exam until the pink eye was cleared up. What's worse, she could not charge my visit under my vision insurance so they elected to charge me under my health insurance, which was 5x the price!

Long story short, I was manipulated into receiving care from Dr. Rogers for much more money than it would have cost through my family physician. And, I walked out without receiving my eye exam. I allowed them to manipulate me. I will not be returning to Texas State Optical and I recommend that you don't either.

I have bought my second pair of glasses in two years, from this TSO location. Everybody I have encountered is friendly and helpful. The doctor is efficeint and thorough. I definately recommend this store
