My wife and I moved to the metroplex last Summer, and while temporarily living nearby, tried this place and have been coming since. The atmosphere is nice, but overall the sushi isn't anything hugely different from other good sushi places to us, except we love the bento boxes at lunch and despite what some reviews say the wait staff is great! (More on that at the end) We come in weekly to get lunch. (Bento boxes are lunch boxes so thus only available then) It's such a perfect combo of sushi, salad, miso, and orange for desert and all at a reasonable price! (Which is important when you love quality but have a graduate student budget) The wait staff is very good with customers, especially those like us who come often. We have a "favorite" order and they ask if we want our usual and know it when we come in. That's something that sets a restaurant out when they take the time to remember orders.

I didn't have the most pleasant experience. It took more than 5 minutes to be greeted at the table and drinks ordered. When the drinks did come, my wine glass had a crack through it so I had to send it back. After more waiting the sushi was delivered without having any plates or chopsticks on the table. It took another couple minutes to catch a server that would bring us some. I will not be returning back.

This place MK Sushi has great food, poor waiter service, hard to understand their speaking, they are no help with the menu... When u finally get your waiter/waitress over to your table, cuz actually there is prob no more than 10 eating customers in the place at any given time I have been there and that is at dinner time say 6:00-7:00, with that said no more than 4 tables being used and maybe 2 peeps at the bar area eating, getting a regular fork and knife that you ask for seems to annoy them. I am sorry but we eat the food, not having to have to use our hands if we can't get the sticks down right to pick the food up, not a pro in that dept, a pro in the fork dept. Asking for a refill on drinks or anything seems to annoy them. Not down for the attitude that is placed within the working area of the resturant, but the food is good

Love this place! Awesome service, great food although a little pricey, it's worth it! Recommend the spicy crunch roll, sunset roll or the beach roll. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely decor, friendly staff, good menu, great bar what more could one ask for? Even have a small outdoor patio for those of us with summer fever. Surprisingly my favorite item was their Ceviche, who would have expected to find a dish so married to the Latin culture in a Sushi place and for it to be so good! Will be back.

They consistently forget items when you order, consistently have incorrect portions, and Jason is consistently a jerk to his customers. Stay Away from MK'S!!!!!

I came here recently with my husband and 2 children and had a wonderful time. Our waitress was very kind and served us generously. We mainly came to MKs to try out a new sushi place in ft.worth and we loved it so much. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. While others may disagree, I, myself, thought that the price was reasonable. Typical prices for a sushi restaurant. The reason why I put 4 stars was because although the atmosphere is great, the lighting during the night was awfully dark. And to the reviewer above me, maybe you have better gone during the night. The waitresses are wonderful (from the ones that I have gotten so far). I remember coming in during the lunch time as well and I felt as though there is a big difference between the waitresses, as well as service. Don't let the manager discourage you. I've met Jason before and he was actually very polite and had a bright smile. I definitely look forward into coming here every weekend, kids or no kids.

Short story: Loved the hostess, horrible waiter, even more horrible manager. Took an hour to get two rolls and three pieces of sushi. Forgot portions of our order. Had to beg for utensils and drinks. Complained to the manager, Jason, who accused us of "taking advantage" of him because we didn't get our food in a "couple of minutes" (AKA an hour!). He told us that he didn't want customers like us in his restaurant (by the way, we eat sushi once a week). That's really a shame. I liked the food and the martini bar looked cool and I wanted MK's to be our new 'place' but not as long as there will be incompetent and obviously inexperienced management in charge there. There is a maxim in customer service that management dreads: satisfied customers tell 3 of their friends, unsatisfied customers tell 10 of their friends. Maybe Jason slept through that part in Customer Service 101. Two thumbs down from me (because I don't have any more thumbs!). I hope the hostess finds a new & better job

We arrived right at the end of what looked like a pretty overwhelming lunch rush, a little before 1pm. My main complaint is with the waiter and manager. After extremely poor wait service, I asked the hostess for a manager. I explained the situation to Jason and advised him that while the food was delicious, the service was completely unacceptable and could he please comp the meal. At this point, I still would have accepted an apology, maybe a free appetizer, something, anything to make our stay more pleasurable and make us want to come back. His response was that the assistant manager sat and watched our table the entire time we were served and nothing was out of order. Then he proceeded to accuse us of trying to take advantage of the situation by coming in at a busy time and demanding a free meal because it wasn't ready in a couple of minutes. Unacceptable customer service. He comp'd the meal but banned us for life. We will be happy to never return!
