Billy Childress Picture Frames is Ft. Worth's oldest and original "picture frames only" business. Established in 1951, Childress Frames has been known for generations as THE Picture Frame source for not only Fort Worth, but also Texas. It is a surprise to most to find such a treasure trove of fine moldings and beautiful picture frames in such an unexpected location. Still operating in their original East Ft. Worth location in their original metal building, Childress Frames has remained in their birth site as customers from all areas have discovered the framers who have devoted three generations to the art of framing. The location is as much a living museum as it is a state-of-the-art center for picture framing needs. Framing is a passion - shadow boxes, sports memorabilia, garments, rock and roll memorabilia, original art and fine art are framing specialties. The family owned and operated Childress Frames is not a gallery and has never sold art. THe designing and building of picture frames is the only specialty.

Childress is, without question, the best frame shop around. My mother used them when I was a little girl and I've continued the tradition. It's well worth the drive from north Dallas. They have literally thousands of frames to choose from, and have a great eye for what works best. Sherry's work is detailed and meticulous, you won't find better anywhere else. I recently had six small paintings framed and each one is exactly perfect and the same as the next. right down to the location of the picture hook on the back. You simply won't find that level of detail at other frame shops. Visit them the next time you need to have something framed; you'll be glad you did! Pam Reynolds

Billy Childress Picture Frames is legendary. My Mom brought me here in the '70's and now I shop here with my son. The selection of wood frames and moldings is unbeatable and the attention given to you makes you feel special. I have enjoyed all the hand-made items Childress Frames created for me through the years. I highly recommend anyone new to the area, or anyone who may not have discovered this gem, to visit Billy Childress Picture Frames for any of their framing needs.
