Their customer service personnel will try to cheat you out of your money Max Fitness would like to charge us $49.99 to down grade my spouses month to month membership back to the basic membership. We were going on a cruise and we talked to someone at their front desk about using there tanning services. They said she could upgrade to the 19.99 a month membership (from the $9.99 basic membership) for the two months that we wanted the service, and then we could down grade back to the $9.99 per month basic membership after we got back. We went in today to do just that and the person working the desk said Did you know that you need to pay 49.99 to down grade your membership. Like he knew already that it would be a surprise to me and of course it was. If we would have known about the $49.99 fee we would never have upgraded in the first place. I do not believe that a business has the right to steal my hard earned money, so I have refused to pay this fee. They on the other hand have refused to downgrade my spouses membership. Now tell me this, is this someone you want to do business with.
