Hickory Center Elementary School, located in Fort Wayne, Ind., is affiliated with Northwest Allen County Schools. Founded in 1988, it offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. The school offers various programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Hickory Center Elementary School also provides accelerated reader, accelerated math, young authors, peer mediators and peer buddies programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school. It offers various parent-teacher association sponsored after school enrichment programs.
