AWS, also known as Anthony Wayne Services, is a human service agency established in 1960. It provides a comprehensive array of support services for newborns and senior citizens and is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind. The agency operates a day care facility, A. Wayne Advantage, which helps people learn socialization and leisure skills. AWS offers residential programs for people with disabilities. Its family support services include case management, personal care and vocational rehabilitation. The agency operates a therapeutic horseback riding and summer camp on an area of more than 55 acres. It also owns and operates over 15 group homes throughout Indiana. AWS additionally provides postal services and maintains an online store that offers sweatshirts, tees, caps and vests. Its recreational therapists are certified by the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation.
