Founded in 1967, Chaffin Junior High School has an enrollment of more than 770 students in grades seven through nine. It maintains a staff of teachers, counselor, speech pathologist and media specialist. The school offers classes in language arts, math, science, geometry, social; studies and health education. Chaffin Junior High School provides instructions in keyboarding, Spanish and English. Its extra-curricular activities include choir and orchestra. The school supports a range of sports activities, including football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. It additionally operates parent-teacher conferences, as well as offers counseling services. The school is operated by Fort Smith Public Schools, which manages several elementary, middle and high schools. Chaffin Junior High School is located in Fort Smith, Ark.
