Arkansas Best Federal Credit Union was established in 1960, under the provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act. The organization is owned by its members and is a federally chartered nonprofit financial institution. The credit union is governed by board of directors elected from its membership at the annual meeting. It offers EE Bonds in various denominations. Its members accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $100,000. The credit union s audio response system is available 24-hours, seven-days a week through which its members can make inquiries on accounts, review current rates, request check withdrawals, make transfers, estimate a loan payment and print statements. Arkansas Best Federal Credit Union is located in Fort Smith, Ark.
