Fort Scott Middle School serves students in grades six, seven and eight. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading, language arts, social studies, math, physical education and science. The school also offers courses in family and consumer science. Its life skill programs offer information on clothing, food, technology and computer applications. The school also offers elective classes in fine arts. Additionally, the school provides various intramural opportunities in football, volleyball, basketball, softball, gymnastics, wrestling, track, tennis and bowling. Its staff includes custodians, nurses, counselors, psychologists, special education teachers and paraeducators. Fort Scott Middle School is located in Fort Scott, Kan.
