Dr. Peter Ameglio is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with 20+ years experience and handles all aspects of orthopedics. Dr. Ameglio is 1 of 6 trained surgeons in Florida, and the only surgeon in SW Florida performing SuperPATH hip replacement. SuperPATH is the only hip replacement surgery that doesn't require hip dislocation. Studies have proven there is less injury during surgery. His patients experience a faster recovery & have no restrictions on movement. Dr. Ameglio is the only Orthopedic Surgeon in SW Florida trained in the iFuse SI Joint Surgery. With this experience, he is able to recognize the overlap of symptoms between hip & SI joint pain. This is essential to potentially avoiding unnecessary hip replacement surgery.
