Manatee Elementary School serves more than 700 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in reading, writing, language arts, music, math, Spanish, computer applications and physical education. The school additionally coordinates the Title I program and provides special education classes for students with learning problems. It conducts several parent-teacher meetings and conferences. The school also offers guidance counseling sessions and lunch programs for its students. Manatee Elementary School is a part of Lee County Public Schools, which is a school district that serves over 79,000 students through nearly 110 elementary, middle, high, community and charter schools, as well as special education and technology centers.
