The concept of Lanai Lights began in Fort Myers with inventor Bob Steele, who set out to develop a lighting system that was attractive, easy to install, and would withstand Southwest Floridas climate. Because Bob lived in a community, it was important that the product illuminate his lanai while not lighting up the neighbors as well.
