The Development Services Division, a part of the Community Development Department, is responsible for planning, zoning and occupational licensing. The division reviews zoning and site plans. It develops and prepares the city s zoning regulations and processes. The division is also responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of the development standards. It conducts site inspections and provides online information on zoning procedures. The Development Services Division administers the addressing program. The Community Development Department, governed by the City of Fort Myers in Florida, grants garage sale permits. The department operates through administration, building permitting and inspections, and housing and real estate divisions.
