Provided by YP.comSuch a pleasure to tell others that Dr. Christine Henson is a very skilled dentist with a warm, engaging personality. Friendly, kindhearted, firmly in touch with the human element, very understanding and explanatory, and refreshingly direct in plain English. (Some people might not like that-- don't know why.)
Cosmetic dentistry... restorations... gum-disease treatment... tooth extractions... partial plates... cavities filled painlessly and lastingly... very thorough preventive cleanings by a pleasant, considerate hygienist.
To be personally specific, Dr. Henson's expert work on my teeth over the past 2 years has resulted in a huge improvement in my oral health, both medically and cosmetically.
I highly recommend Dr. Christine Henson.

Provided by YP.comIf there was a place for "0" stars I would put it. This dentist is unethical and very arrogant. I am not the type of person to care about writing negative reviews about professionals, however I felt the need to warn others about this one. A professional she is NOT. Her staff is great though if that matters. Good luck!

Provided by YP.comI used this dentist many years ago and never went back. The hygienist was rude and when I paid the bill, I wrote a check for the amount they asked for. Two months later the sent me a bill saying I owed $5 and it was over 30 days due. I explained that I'd paid the bill and the woman said it was more than what they told me and I'd have to pay the $5 or they'd send it to a collection agency. For $5 that they decided I owed after I paid the bill in full. I found another dentist that I've been very happy with.

Provided by YP.comUsed this dentist for five years, but have now switched to another dentist. I never felt as though she had my best interest in mind, seemed always about the money. In the five years I did go to her, I always seemed to have to pay a lot extra above what my insurance covered. She is in-network with my insurance, but always paid extra for everything. Not the best "chairside" manner - very arrogant. No problems with hygenists, only the dentist. My spouse saw her one time, and absolutely refused to go back.

Provided by YP.comRight before Christmas I had a bump on the roof of my mouth. Dr. Christine Henson saw me on 12/22/11. She examined me for a total of about 40 seconds and took one x ray. She said you need a root canal it was on a front tooth I had done a root canal on about ten years before. I told her my Wife lost her job and we lost our dental insurance, was there anything else we could do she said NO. They sent me to a root canal specialist. I was told by the specialist that I needed a root canal but the tooth would not need to be replaced. I choose to get a second opinion. I called to get my records sent to my Wife s dentist. They seemed put off by the request. Then they informed my insurance didn t pay, I told them I told you when I came in I lost my insurance They told me the visit for the exam on 12/22 was $86 dollars. I said that seems really high for a quick exam (40seconds and one x ray). Especially when the root canal specialist charged my $58 dollars, took 3 x-ray s and did a much more thorough exam. She said that s the charge. Having no choice I paid it. Three days later on Saturday I got the explanation of benefits from the insurance company. It stated that I no longer have insurance (which I knew) and that I owed the total charge of $57 dollars. (Which seems more in line with the exam not $86). I called Dr Christine Henson s office on Monday and let them know the total charges were $57 that they sent the insurance company and that they must have made a mistake when they charged my $86, Liz at the front desk said oh we charge more when you don t have insurance because we have a contract with the insurance company that we will not charge the patient more than what Delta Dental considers to be with-in their guide lines for that type of exam. She then informed me that because I no longer had insurance that they go by their guide line for the exam and that is $86 dollars. I said WHAT??? I ve been with you for over 4yrs and because I can t afford insurance you are going to charge me more? Liz told me they have a different guideline when you DON'T have insurance Weren t you going to be happy with the $57 from the insurance company, then what s the difference with my $57. I was told that is the charge $86 period end of conversation. I don t know if that $86 is high or not it just seemed high because the Root Canal guy charged me $58 and then the insurance guide lines said $57. So I don t know what to think. I then said well if that s the case I will make sure that other people are forewarned, so they can check the charges if they don t have insurance before the exam so they know what to expect. She then tried to put words in my mouth and accused me of saying If you don t give me the $29 dollars back I was going to slander Dr Christine Henson. I told her that I would never slander anyone but I will tell the truth and I will tell others of my experience. I asked them to send me the bill for the $86 I had already paid so I can compare it with the insurances records that say I owed them $57. The Dentist that I went to that does root canals and crowns, for the second opinion said that I do NOT need a root canal and that even if I did they would go up behind the tooth and not even touch the tooth. Again I m just a regular guy and so who knows... but at this time my tooth is fine. Regardless of if I went with Dr. Christine Hensons opinion or My New Dentist second opinion I would have probably still used her office for cleanings had they charged me what Delta Dental deemed fair within their guidelines and not her office guide lines. Again I don t know if her guideline is high or not. I m only going off of what Delta Dental told me. It is her business a she can choose to make her own guide lines that is well within her rights. So for anyone out there without insurance be sure to check with your dentist before hand so you know what their guidelines are.
