General Info
Here at Hooks Lane School, we have two classes. Our junior class is our nursery class and our seniors are pre-kindergarten. Our children grow through a 'hands on' curriculum of music, movement, art, literature, math, science and language arts, as well as, activities for emotional, social and motor skills. All curriculum is planned and supervised by NJ certified teachers and assistant teachers who have had many years of experience in the early childhood field. Our staff is trained in CPR and first aid, and completes the maximum hours of training required by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families. We are licensed by the NJ Department of Children and Families in the Department of Human Services and are inspected by the Borough of Fort Lee for health and fire safety. All certificates are current and in good standing. Our outside space is large with climbing, sliding, riding and rocking toys, creative play areas and a sandbox. Come and see us! We are having fun!

Can't find enough words to recommend this school! The whole staff is great - they love kids and it shows. Both the management and the teachers are very aware not only of the kids attending the school, but also of the family circumstances - when our second daughter was born, they bent over to make sure our first one got extra attention and love. We could say without fear of lying that we consider the owner and teachers part of our extended family. We still have to see them in a less than cheerful mood, and always dedicated to the well being and education of all children that attend the school. The activities are great and well balanced - kids not only have fun, but they learn a lot in a very relaxed and happy setting - though they also know how to keep order and harmony in the school. As said before: highly recommended !

I am a parent that currently has 2 children in HLS. They have both thrived and are learning a great deal. Education plans are tailored to the age group and appropriate. Strong teachers and a nurturing enviornment. Administration willing to work with parents to meet child's needs.
