General Info

Located in the coastal community of West Palm Beach, Fla., Recover First West provides a residential, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a sober living support program, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and aftercare services for adults who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The rehabilitation center is one of nine high-end facilities operated by American Addiction Centers, including a nearby Hollywood location. Medically-monitored detox is available on-site. Recovery First treats substance abuse as a chronic disease. In the disease model of addiction care, clients are treated as if they have a disease like any other that requires medical treatment and continuing care to recover from. Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation so that the treatment team can develop an individualized treatment plan. Recovery First West uses a collection of different cognitive, experiential, physical, and educational therapy types to create a comprehensive treatment for clients. The treatment curriculum is designed by American Addiction Centers, and is based on self-examination, education, and the development of coping skills.
