The Broward Regional Juvenile Detention Center is a 109-bed residential facility that provides temporary care services for delinquents. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the center also offers medical care, rehabilitation and mental health screening services to its residents. It provides substance abuse treatment, supervision, educational and counseling services. The Broward Regional Juvenile Detention Center offers case management and monitoring services. In addition, the center conducts various school and recreational activities for juveniles. It is a part of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which promotes public safety and protects the community from delinquency. The department additionally provides delinquency prevention and intervention services.
