The first Waffle House restaurant was opened on Labor Day in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Ga. Since then, it has grown into a chain of more than 1,500 company and franchise-owned casual restaurants in over 25 U.S. states. It serves a variety of waffles, steaks, omelets, hamburgers, country ham, pork chops and grits. The restaurant serves specialty dishes, such as Bert's chili, Walt s soup, Alice s iced tea and Lib's patty melt. It offers hash browns in eight different ways. Waffle House serves more than 3 million pounds of grits each year and over 10,000 T-bone steaks each day. Apart from serving food, the restaurant supports various health and human service organizations, youth and education programs, and disadvantage and other civic causes. It conducts in-house events and programs, such as The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-off and the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship.

Our two orders were incorrect. The hashbrowns were suppose to be plain they put onions in it we asked for two orders of raisin toast and only one order came out with the other plain. The tea was spoiled the sausage came out 10 mns. before the incorrect orders and was ice cold. The waitress had no glue what was going on. The female cook was so slow and seemed to not be in any hurry. The a/c units blow constantly on your food at this location. This one is the closest to my house but I would go to another one the next time we go. The hostess was the only pleasant and smart one there. This was last Sunday around 9:30 a.m. August 7th 2011.

I've had two bad experiences here. Wish I hadn't given them a second shot! Incorrect orders (that we waited a half hour for them to prepare), rude staff, they care nothing for customer satisfaction. I will not visit this location again.

If you visit this store and have a problem with the staff, whether it be with it's cooks, servers or it's management at any level do not file a complaint with the corporate office or you will find yourself being told by management on your next visit that you have been banned from all waffle houses that belong to corporate with in that divisional managers area. I know this to be a fact.

If you want a drunk serving you go in the morning and let Mattie serve you.If you want good serves ask one of the other servers to wait on you.I just go on Mon& Tue now she off and I don't have to deal with her at all.Hope one day they will get her out of there so I can go more than twice a week. The rest of the staff is great ...
