McCluer North High School is a Blue Ribbon School that is governed by the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, social studies, science and language arts. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities and student clubs, including student council, symphonic band, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and Odyssey of the Mind. It also features recycling, technology, weightlifting, studio 4, hope and guitar clubs. It provides opportunities to participate in a variety of athletic activities, such as basketball, cheerleading, football, golf, ice hockey, soccer, softball, baseball, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling.
