Founded in 1956, Lusher Elementary School enrolls more than 450 students, and offers classes from grades kindergarten through six. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science and technology, communication arts, social studies, health education, English, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It also provides special education programs for students with learning disabilities, and various group counseling activities through the Missouri Model Guidance curriculum. The school also offers facilities, such as transportation, and breakfast and lunch services. Located in Florissant, Mo., Lusher Elementary School is a part of the Hazelwood School District, and is fully accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
