General Info

Dr. Alvarez is board certified in internal medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Jewish Hospital of St. Louis at Washington University. He earned his medical degree at University of Michigan School of Medicine. He has a special interest in diabetes, HTN, obesity and geriatrics. Dr. Alvarez has been awarded recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program for meeting national standards for diabetes care. He starts seeing patients at age 17.Dr. Alvarez has been on several mission trips to Central America.
