I had some problem with front left brake, it was making some noise. local mechanic said the noise was because of a missing clip that holds the brake pad in place and he put a new clip back in(He charged me $88!!). And also said both the front rotors needs to be replaced(estimate of $373). After i took car back from service it started making grinding noise. I took it back to him, he again recommended rotor replacement. He filed the clip a bit and put it back. After few miles it started making even worse noise. I thought I would replace the rotors. On same day i saw Sears auto sales coupon for free brake evaluation. I thought i would give it a try. That is one of the best decision i took in recent times :D. i LEFT CAR FOR INSPECTION AT FLORENCE MALL CENTER. I GOT BACK AFTER AN HOUR, SURPRISE SURPRISE,THE CAR WAS READY AND THEY CHARGED ME "NOTHING". HE SAID THE CLIPS WAS PUT IN REVERSE WHICH CAUSED THAT NOISE. HONEST MECHANICS!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
