LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is a community blood supplier for local hospitals in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. LifeSouth is meets the blood supply needs of these hospitals in each of the communities it serves by providing the blood components and services. It provides appropriate acknowledgement and recognition for donations. It provides a range of laboratory testing services, such as blood group assessment, antibody screening, testing for hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis B core antibodies and hepatitis C antibodies, among others. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers conducts a number of blood campaigns and awareness programs across areas, including Maricopa, Sun City, Anthem, Peoria and Paradise Valley. It also locates compatible blood components and to match patients with special platelet needs. The facility is a member of Lifeline medical health center. It also provides red blood cell antigens and plasma components.
