Shoals Foot Center was established in 1998 and is owned and operated by Dr J.D. Smith. Specialties include heel and arch pain, ingrown nails, fungal thick nails, pain in the ball of the foot, neuropathy, and diabetic foot care. Laser therapy is also available in our office.

I have seen Dr. Smith on 4 occasions and will not be back. He is fairly knowledgeable in his area of expertise but the time spent waiting in the waiting room and then waiting in the examination room is pathetic. The wait has been over a hour each visit but this last visit was 2 1/2 hours. Dr. Smith was seeing my 8 year old dau and the initial treatment did not work which wasn't surprising considering the conversation we had. The kicker was that he told me "if" said treatment didn't work, he would not charge me if I had to bring her back. She did, indeed, have to be seen again. After my calling his office numerous times and having to leave messages with no return call, his office manager finally calls me and is incredibly rude. I explained to her what and how the visit was handled but she continued to rudely insist that I "misunderstood." Well, guess what? NO, I did not and our families business is going elsewhere where the wait isn't ridiculous, staff is courteous and appreciative of t
Very Good Dr. Staff is excellent. Service was very good. Waiting time was alittle long to get in to see Dr. but service and attention was worth it.
