The firm was founded in 1958 by Richard. H. Kraft, and ten years later, in 1968, it was incorporated. In 2006, the firm was purchased by co-owners, Michael R. Pifer, P.E. and Timothy L. O'Dell and is now known as Kraft Engineering & Surveying, Inc The steady growth of Kraft Engineering is based on diversified and complete consulting services in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, comprehensive planning, construction management, and land surveying. The engineering firm has over 100 years of combined engineering experience. We offer specialized consulting services for governmental, industrial, commercial, and private land development projects. In addition, we retain outstanding consultants in their specialized fields of urban planning, mechanical and electrical engineering, architecture, environmental assessment, soils and materials testing. Our firm has the capability to perform computer-linked design and planning services with an extensive library of engineering and related disciplines. The major areas of design services are highways, bridges, drainage, water distribution, wastewater collection, construction management, land surveying and comprehensive planning. Kraft Engineering has completed large and small projects for governmental agencies and communities, industrial, commercial, and private enterprises.
