  The best way to prevent skin cancer is to prevent sunburn. Although skin cancer occurs in adults, it is caused by the sun exposure and sunburns that occurred during childhood. Every time you apply sunscreen to your child, you are preventing skin cancer down the line

  Diaper rash can result from several causes. It can result from an allergy to the material in the diaper or from prolonged exposure to urine on the skin. In addition, inside the diaper is a very warm and damp place very suitable to the growth of fungus. This is the leading cause of diaper rash. We have several medicines that can be used to clear diaper rash. But, what you should know is that the best and most effective way to prevent it is frequent diaper changes and good skin care.

  Prevention of staph infections can be accomplished by good skin care, including cleansing any cuts or scrapes with soap and water and keeping open sores covered until they heal. A topical antibiotic ointment may be used as well. Medical care should be sought for a skin sore that becomes progressively more red, swollen, or tender, or that drains fluid or pus.
