If you are enrolled in a managed care plan, we will make every effort to work with you and your primary care/referring physician in order to satisfy the requirements of the plan. JOI and JOI Rehab also participate with several Workers’ Compensation programs.
- Family PracticeJOI Rehab has announced a new program to “fast track” back or spine patients. With Fast Track, patients with back pain or a spinal injury can come to physical therapy directly. They simply need a prescription from a primary care or family practice doctor. Â This new program will allow patients to start physical therapy quicker. In many cases, they can begin physical therapy without a prescription.
- Emergency CareAthletic trainers must also work under the direction of a physician and within their state practice act. Athletic trainers have a background in: acute care and assessment of injuries and illnesses; exercise physiology; anatomy and physiology; kinesiology; biomechanics; nutritional aspects of injury, pathology of illness, pharmacology, psychosocial intervention and referral; strength training and reconditioning; therapeutic exercise and rehabilitative techniques; and therapeutic modalities. They possess the added skills necessary to evaluate injuries on the field and determine if the athlete needs to be transported to the emergency room, seen in the office by a doctor, or treated conservatively by the athletic trainer at the school.

Dr. Pujadas is board certified and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Pujadas is a member of the NFL Physician Association and is a Team Physician for Bishop Kenny High School.

- Occupational TherapyAdditionally, if you are looking to get the independence you had before your injury, we offer Occupational Therapy through one of our fully licensed Occupational Therapists (OT).
