We have been bringing our dogs and cats here for many years. We started under the previous owners, who were great! We were a bit nervous when the new owners took over, but Val and Al have made many positive and much appreciated improvements. Our cats seem indifferent to their time at camp, but our dogs love it! While our family members are in their care, we are able to relax knowing that they are in good hands. Yes, we have to drive a bit far to get there but the extra effort is reciprocated.

The best kennel we have ever used! They don't charge for the "extras" that have become so common with kennels. The kennel is immaculate and the only one in Flagstaff that doesn't have concrete floors. My dogs never come back with that "kennel smell". Very nice people and it is obvious they love animals. I plan all of my vacations around availability at Cinder Hills because they can and do fill up quickly. There's a reason why I can get into the other kennels and Cinder Hills is full. Book early!

OUTSTANDING KENNEL. Our dogs run to push the doors open. We first took our two Dobermans there a few years ago. They loved it. When we lost them, the kennel sent us wonderful notes as they loved our dogs too! Now we take our two terriers there. The dogs have never been picked up in anything less than excellent condition...always happy and playful. The owners/staff have NEVER failed to be there DURING BUSINESS HOURS. We would never leave our dogs anywhere else. We even drive up from the valley to leave our dogs at this kennel when we have to be away from them. The owners are fair, ethical, people who obviously love animals. We give them an A+.
