The company is privately owned and counts magazines, catalogs, direct mailers and other commercial publications among its clients. Quad/Graphics has been recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency for its efforts to minimize gravure air emissions, as well as its recycling of plastic, fiber, wood, metal, fluorescent light bulbs and concrete. The company has also been recognized by Newsweek, one of its premier clients, as its Printer of the Year more than 20 consecutive years. Quad/Graphics was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in Sussex, Wis.
