Lakes Country Service Cooperative, formerly known as West Central Educational Cooperative Service Unit, was established 1976. The cooperative provides planning and support services on a regional basis and assists in meeting the needs of school districts, cities, counties and other government agencies. It serves the areas of Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin counties in Minnesota. Its education services department provides professional development and support to its members through workshops, institutes, networking committees, on-site technical assistance, and grant sourcing and writing. The cooperative s health services include consultation, training, inspection, record keeping, and drug and alcohol testing. Lakes Country Service Cooperative is located in Fergus Fall, Minn.
