Founded in 1980 as a junior high school, Rockwood South Middle School serves students in grades six, seven and eight. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is located in Fenton, Mo. The school offers classes in fine arts, math, science, technology and foreign languages. It also conducts health classes on nutrition, fitness, tobacco awareness and personal hygiene. Rockwood South Middle School s physical education program offers various sports activities, such as soccer, football, basketball and volleyball. Its counselors offer classroom lessons and group presentations on career planning and vocational development. The school also maintains a library that offers books, videos, periodicals and more than 25 workstations.
