I don't usually leave reviews but I have to help other parents like myself. Took my kids there after my son came home from school actually wanting to go. I was beyond ecstatic because most days I can't get him to brush. He said he had to see the girl that cleaned Ashton's teeth! Still in disbelief, we were there for our appt and a young woman came out and greeted us. We went back and I explained my sons lack of brushing. She smiled and said ok. I thought just ok. She began cleaning my sons teeth and talking to him about his xbox, sports, you name it, minus his teeth. Once she was done she said you know what you have great teeth, but I'm very worried about your gums. You have some gingivitis. What's that he asks. On her big computer screen she pulls up a few pictures and then she says I will take some pictures of your gums now that you know what we're looking for. He looks at me and says," mom look at my gingivitis?!" He was actually interested and now brushes w/o me telling him to.

My name is Sherry Stoutenburg and I am the Office Manger for Michigan Smiles also known as Dr. Bo Shumaker and Dr. Thomas's office. It was a pleasure joining this office in 2013. This is my 14th year in dentistry and with my experience I could go any where. Michigan Smiles won be over with its comfortable setting for the patients, staff is so friendly and easy going, they educate our patients about their dental needs and Michigan Smiles participates with so many insurance company's. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I picked this office based on the look of the historical building and was pleased with everything about my experience there.
