R. Max Abbott Middle School provides various extracurricular opportunities to students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, physical education, social studies and science. The school s media center is a fully automated facility that houses a collection of more than 18,000 hardback and paperback books and offers Internet access. It additionally provides an online list of accelerated reader quizzes. The school s parent-teacher association organizes several fundraising programs, including book fairs, and publishes a monthly newsletter.
