J W Coon Elementary School offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes science, language arts, English, math, health education, social studies, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It also organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as beta club, safety patrol, civic oration contest, Battle of the Books, academic bowl, after school tutoring, and quiz bowl. The school has a fully equipped computer laboratory, and library and media center. It also provides facilities, such as transportation and daily meals. The school s parent-teacher association organizes and participates in various school activities.
