Carpet One of Fayetteville NC installed Granite countertop on 3 May while installing cracked the Granite. As of today 19 May we have no water,granite On 25 Mar 13 we received a quote from xxx 910-237-5427 to installed Granite and Tile Backsplash $2,579.36. On 3 May 2013 Carpet One arrived at our home to put in new Granite counter-tops. A two man team arrived and took out our existing Counters. When they were through, my wife noticed a crack in the granite and I called Ms. xxx and told her and asked should I still have our Plummer come hook up our sink, and new facet on 4 May. Ms. xxx said go ahead and install the sink and facet. I paid McKenzie Plumping $250 to install. Ms. xxx stated that her team could repair the crack in the Granite. On 6 May the installer supervisor (xxx) came to our home and said that they could repair the Granite he also noted that they overcut a corner and would try to fix that corner and also noted that the team had not installed the under mount sink correct and he would have them take the sink back out and seal it properly. The back seam was not mounted smooth and was uneven. It looked like a person first time installing Granite. He called the supervisor of the team that installed and told him all the things they did wrong while in my home and I heard the entire conversation. After over 20 telephone calls to the company which I have documented on my phone they came back on 9 May to fix the cracked Granite. After 2 hours trying to fix the Granite xxx stated that the crack could not be repaired. They also attempted to fix the over cut corner and never did complete that repair. Richard stated that he would have another piece of Granite cut and would re-install in the next 2 days. Another week wait and after 16 more calls another team arrives on 16 May. They came without a certified Plummer after xxx stated he would bring a certified Plummer and the two man team struggle for over 1 hour trying to figure out how to dis-connect our sink, facet and plumbing. They took out the cracked counter-top and sink and came in with a replacement Granite. After looking at the Granite I saw a 2 Ft Bleached out Granite piece that did not match our other Granite. I even looked at the Installer and asked them do they think it matched and they both said No it does not look the same. I asked them to take away the Granite. Now we have no sink, no running water, no dishwasher no counter-top. I called Carpet One and Spoke to xxx and she said she would call me back. After numerous phone calls to Ms. xx, xxx and xxx we still have not resolved the issue. On 18 May xxx called and says that the Granite that they brought us was from the same lot and I was going to have to accept it. It may not be perfect but it's a good enough match. This is not acceptable. I want a matching piece of Granite that flows with the existing Granite. I want Carpet One to pay our food expenses for every day we have to dine out and for in-convenience of our family not having a working kitchen. They could have made this a priority but decided it was not an issue for our family. We are asking for a professional job with professional service.
