Opened in 1999, Cape Fear High School serves more than 1,500 students in grades nine through 12 and employs over 100 staff members. The school s academic departments include mathematics, English, science, social studies, health and physical education, and career and technology education. The high school also has a cultural arts department that offers classes in dance, orchestra and chorus. Cape Fear High School provides a range of athletic programs, such as cheerleading, cross country, football, volleyball, tennis, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, golf and softball. Its media center stocks newspapers, magazines and books. Additionally, the media center features computers, scanners and a copy machine. Cape Fear High School is located in Fayetteville, N.C.
