I was a patient to Dr. magness for about 5 years. Within the past year since the awesome nurse quit. He has been a grouchy old grump that couldn't be bothered with hearing why your there. Early this year I considered changing doctors. I really didn't go in there often but my last few visits were mostly for referrals like to the chiropractor & weightloss surgery or I asked about what to do for dry skin & scalp & he even has said I was healthy as a horse. Not like he had a whole lot to do. Today I inquired about being tested for diabetes & the nurse said they could do a health panel or some lab work that I should do on a yearly bases just as simple as getting a regular check up never had it done I told her I was lactose intolerant & a meat allergy wich & would like to be tested for celiac. Then he came in my son was with me asked were he went & told me I should go there & that I had to many health issues for me to see him. He wasn't clear seemed agitated to deal with me. It was very unclear the lady in the office I asked & asked if I was doing lab then she said he wouldn't he took me to the hallway told her not to make anymore appoinments for me was agitated & hostile. All I did was ask to see about getting a diabetes screening & if I had to go to an allergist. Don't go there he used to be good but regs days he is an awful grouch who should retire & let someone take over his practice that cares about the patience no matter what class he assumes they are. I'm a student & active member in the community. If your in the health profession you have to care about your patience. He is very hard to talk to. At first I wasn't happy but I think he is just really old & needs to take care of himself. I hope your dr treats you with more compassion.
