Management poorly handled accident, uncool.



About a month after the store's grand opening, I went to see a movie at the connected Malco Razorback movie theater and tried to cut through Academy parking lot. It was dimly lit and had a bunch of gravel that I couldn't see at a turn where the two parking lots connected. At about 10mph on my scooter, I took a nasty spill on the gravel I couldn't see.



An honest oversight/error for someone just not considering motorcycle/scooter riders; no big deal, I could have avoided their parking lot at night and all. I figured that I'd just ask the management to get the mess cleaned so it's not a hazard to anyone else. They say 'ok' and that they'll follow up with me after I filed a report with them/took pictures of the big gash I left in the pavement.



A reasonable request right? Wrong. I didn't get a response and management gave me the silent treatment and went into denial mode and acted like they'd never heard anything.



TL;DR: I just wanted you to clean your stupid parking lot like you should have already done and now I can't shop there because you were jerks. You suck, Academy.

Very nice store.. Friendly Knowledgable staff.. I go regularly.. And no you are not allowed to return ammo most anywhere..

Check their return policy before you buy anything. My advice is do not buy guns or ammunition from Academy. I accidentally picked up a box of 357 sig ammunition but needed 357 magnum (an easy mistake) we brought it back the next day with a receipt and they would not exchange it. I talked to 2 managers and called their central offices with no results. I will no longer shop at Academy Sports.
