General Info
Jim and Janet Dooley opened North Shore Trading Company in 2003 with a few canoes. We soon found there was a demand for paddling gear. We added kayaks and, recently, stand up paddleboards. We're a small company and try to cater to our neighbors, visitors, and second home owners. We offer casual and some technical clothing for the mountains or for town by Woolrich and The North Face, and shoes, sandals and boots by Keen Footwear. In 2008, we presented our first Big Bear PaddleFest - races, clinics, demos and vendor expo at 6700'. It has grown every year with many paddling sponsors joining in. Big Bear Fishing Adventures offers lessons and guided tours and has their spin and fly shop inside North Shore Trading Company. Bear Climbing Company offers climbing gear and lessons through North Shore Trading Company. We hope you'll stop by to say "hi" and tell us all your great adventures.

Love the clothes and Keen shoes! It's very outdoorsy, like a mini museum. We visit every time we come to the mountains. And very friendly.
