The Office of the Town Clerk, governed by the Town of Brookhaven in New York, is responsible for the management of various records elated to voter registration, election information and claim submission. The office issues dog, fishing, peddler and liquor licenses, as well as certified copies of birth, death and marriage certificates. It also maintains the records of petitions, annual budgets, fiscal reports, court actions and maps. The Office of the Town Clerk is responsible for the storage and disposition of inactive records.
