The Farmington Fire Department provides fire suppression and rescue services. The department offers mitigation of and recovery from a variety of conditions that adversely threaten the safety of the public. The department s primary operations consist of confining and extinguishing various types of fires. As an extension of the department s rescue services, it also provides pre-hospital, emergency medical care. In addition, it controls spills and incidents involving hazardous materials, participates in campaigns for community awareness regarding fire safety.
