Dr. Alan Simons has been Southeast Michigan’s leading oral care provider for nearly 30 years, receiving training and experience from the highest levels in the field. He served as a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where he began the university’s clinical implant program, and was also that program’s coordinator. Prior to that Dr. Simons completed a two-year Fellowship program in Oral Implantology and Biomaterials at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Simons has co-authored a textbook on Implant Dentistry entitled Atlas of Oral Implantology, and has written numerous scientific articles on the subject. He has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Implantology as well as an editorial board member of the journal, Implant Dentistry. Dr. Simons has long been a featured guest lecturer on Oral Implantology, having spoken at dental conferences across the United States. He began his dental education at the University of Michigan, graduating from its School of Dentistry in 1985.
