Founded by a group of doctors from Hartford Hospital, ConnectiCare was born with the mission of establishing a health plan that would truly care about its members. Nearly 25 years later and 550 employees strong, ConnectiCare still lives by that same mission, serving more than 245,000 individuals in Connecticut, western Massachusetts and the four counties of Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester, New York. It has established itself as a leader in developing insurance products to meet cost concerns. In addition to offering both traditional and open access HMO plans, ConnectiCare offers a point-of-service and out-of-area PPO. ConnectiCare's new low-cost/high-deductible plans and health savings account compatible HMO products, are becoming attractive ways for Connecticut s small business owners to maintain coverage for their employees at a price point that's within their budget.
