Ms. Michalczyk was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1984. She graduated from Hofstra Law School in 1983 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 1980. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Bar Association. She was also a member of the American Bar Association. She was formerly a volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster care children reporting to the Court about the conditions of children living in foster care. She is active in her community, her children's school, and in her religious community. She is also admitted to practice law in Federal Court in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
