I needs parts for Briggs & Stratton engine and since United Power was a authorized dealer I would keep my purchase local instead of using Amazon or other online stores. I stopped in and they had the carburetor kit I needed, when they rang up the price it was $114 plus tax. I was kinda shocked at how expensive a few gaskets and a couple o-rings could cost this much, when I got home I checked Amazon $63 and the B&S website showed $75 for the same kit. I called United Power to see if there was a mixup on the pricing since it was $39 higher than the OEM prices, the manager informed me that the prices were correct and this is what their supplier changed them even after I told him what the prices showed online. I also called Sheels Hardware and they quoted me $63 for the same kit but had to order it in. I know a local business can charge any price they want but I will be patronizing a business that try's to treat the customers fairly.

I called 2X to have my garden tractor picked up and serviced. The front desk guy transferred me to the service guy. I explained what I needed. I was told I needed to speak with someone in service who wasn't there until Tuesday. On Tuesday I called, was transferred to the service guy who told me he couldn't pick up my garden tractor because they pickup guy didn't work there anymore. Why the front desk guy didn't tell me this last week, or even when I called today remains a deep mystery. I may give them another chance in the fall, but they've lost my business at least for the next several months.
