03/24/15
I called shortly after 11am on March 8 to give MV a heads up that we would be coming in at 1pm with 23 people (which ended up being 27). The woman who answered the phone said they don't take reservations. I asked if she wanted our business as they were usually grateful for advance notice of a large party. She again said they didn't take reservation but we could come in and they would see if they could accommodate us and to make a reservation it had to be at least 24 hours or more in advance. I'm told her I wasn't sure why a 2 hour or 24 hour "reservation" would make a difference on a non-holiday Sunday in Fargo, ND. She again said we could come in and they would see if they could accommodate us. I was so angry, I called every person and we took our business to another area restaurant. Not only did MV lose out on 27 adult meals, but their wait staff lost a good tip as well. We used to go to MV a lot, but, it seems, other restaurants are much more accommodating.
