  Finally a hair salon on Cape Cod that I can go back to! I've lived in Falmouth for over 5 years now and had been hopelessly searching for a hair salon I could call my own for the first 4 years. Jim at Artisan Salon has been cutting my hair for nearly a year now and I couldn't be happier. The salon has a great modern atmosphere with a very calming feel. Adding to this is a most wonderful scalp massage with aromatherapy oil. Jim understands my hair and all its quirks, flips, and texture so the cut is long lasting and still looks great as it grows out. He also knows my personality and my maintenance level, giving me a style I can recreate and maintain. I also like that they use environmentally friendly hair products

  Artisan is both very hip and quite low key - and excellent combination with stylists that carefully focus on each customer. Jim has been doing my hair for 5 years or so and he is incredible. He is thoughtful and focused and does an amazing job of translating my random thoughts into the perfect style - you never get the feeling he is pushing to get one person done to get to the next, which is pretty common at bigger salons. There is no frenzy - the eclectic music provides a soothing background and the experience allows for complete relaxation. If you are looking for someone to gossip with, Jim is not your guy. If you want current information about all that is cool and going on around town, then he is a great source, something that is a terrific bonus on the Cape. I like that the salon uses natural products and is always looking for ways to help those less fortunate

  Amazing! I have lived in New York and Boston, and Jim is by far the best cut and color I have had. The salon is small and intimate, decorated with mosaics Jim makes himself. They don't have piles and piles of product, but instead have a few, excellent brands (buy the collagen spray!). Since there are only a few stylists, it is always quiet and peaceful inside so you can truly relax. If you want a great hair cut or color with no surprises, go see Jim!

  I was very nervous to get my hair cut in Falmouth, b/c many of the higher end salons didn't have great reviews online. I read a very positive review of Jim at Artisan Salon, so I decided to make an appointment. Was NOT disappointed! Jim was very friendly and very helpful, giving me a great consultation. He even managed to save some of my chopped locks to donate to a wig-making co. The pre-cut shampoo began with a scalp/neck massage, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere in the salon is quiet and pleasant. My haircut looks great, and I'd definitely recommend the salon.

Best best is the "brazilian blow out" he did several months ago-- perfection (I had it done in NYC a year ago, it was fine-- but not pefect like now). Jim is an expert in all things "hair"... and a lovely person.
